It pisses me off when people are shocked and pissed off about thing like this!
"WOW a Veggie Sandwich with > 1000 kcal?!"
DUH if you get a Large +cheese + dressing. A large w/o cheese and dressing has approx half the protein and fiber required in my diet -- at 670 kcal, that's a pretty good deal (even if you eat it all in one sitting)! Are people actually surprised that cheese and dressing adds a substantial amount of fat and kcals? Please.
Don't blame Quiznos. If it doesn't say low-fat/light, it probably isn't. If you want & need a Large, get a large but know that it's called Large for a reason. This is common sense people, c'mon.
What I usually get: Honey Bourbon Chicken on Wheat Bread [Chicken, lettuce, tomato, red onion, Honey Bourbon Mustard and Zesty Grille Sauce]. With the sauce! At the Largest size, it's a hefty 810 kcalories with 11g fat, 2.5g sat fat, 12g fiber (~ half of what you need in a day), 56g protein (~ a full day's quota for me though I always eat more protein). That's a pretty healthy 810 kcal, if you ask me. If you need an 810 kcal meal, this would be a good way to go, in my opinion. If not, opt for a small (310 kcal) or regular (640) or skip the dressing which adds 50-160 extra kcal depending on sandwich size.
This isn't topology, kids! You can figure it out, :)
